Head of Operations

Our client, operating within the public sector, is recruiting a Head of Operations to join the company and manage the day-to-day operations of a number of departments. In this role, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Monitoring the daily operations and addressing potential issues when they arise 
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of the strategic plan for Human Resources, Administration, Communications, Information Technology and Estate Management
  • Ensuring all IT systems operate smoothly aligned with the company's quality standards
  • Maximizing the efficiency of all business processes and procedures
  • Establishing comprehensive goals for performance and growth, in line with policies that promote the Company’s vision and culture
  • Establishing KPIs and implementing Performance Assessment Reviews
  • Responsible for guiding the HR Unit to ensure hiring plans meet the business needs
  • Coordinating with the Permanent Secretary and PS&D on recruitment and reporting
  • Overseeing the coordination of administrative processes, procedures, and activities related to the company
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the Communications Unit, in line with the company's business goals and objectives
  • Managing the company's Estates and Facilities Management Unit
  • Performing any other duties related to the proper execution of the role as necessary, or other relevant duties may be assigned

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent in Business or a relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant area should they possess the relevant academic background otherwise 10 years of experience in the relevant area. 
  • Keeps up to date with new trends, instruments, and methodologies in relation to Legislation and Regulations that could potentially impact the company's goals, objectives, and efficiency
  • Keeps up to date with the latest developments within the company
  • Meticulous and attentive to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a good command of the English language
  • Conscientious and problem solving
  • Ability to manage time accordingly and multitask
  • Ability to manage more than one department simultaneously
