Finance Manager

Our client, a local group of companies operating within the hospitality and investment sectors, is recruiting a Finance Manager to join their team in one of their new ventures. Managing a team of finance personnel, the ideal candidate will be responsible to:

  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct variance analysis to assess financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation of tax returns and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Manage cash flow by monitoring receivables, payables, and liquidity positions.
  • Optimize working capital by developing and implementing effective cash management strategies.
  • Forecast cash flow requirements and recommend appropriate funding strategies.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Review and approve financial transactions and ensure proper coding and documentation.
  • Monitor and manage banking relationships and cash management activities.
  • Utilize financial systems, such as SAP, to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement technology solutions to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial systems.

Experience & Skills:

 

  • Fully qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using financial systems, preferably SAP.
  • Familiarity with the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
