Accounts Executive

Our client is recruiting an Accounts Executive to join their team. Working closely with the Senior Accountant you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring departmental performance, especially in food and beverage, by maintaining efficient control procedures set by management.
  • Championing the Materials Control database, liaising with the purchasing team and chefs for accurate costing.
  • Ensuring secure and proper storage of stock, and preparing all associated paperwork for the movement of food and liquor stocks.
  • Analyzing daily food covers, sales, and cost reports to monitor food and beverage performance.
  • Conducting stock takes, producing stock summaries, and controlling food and beverage budget expense lines.
  • Participating in menu planning and observing production and service checks, raising purchase orders within budget limits.
  • Taking a proactive approach to Cost Control, identifying potential opportunities.
  • Completing reconciliations on all revenue streams, preparing daily discrepancy reports, and ensuring corrections within one week.
  • Creating and reviewing allowances, circulating a new daily report to departmental managers, and documenting reports monthly.
  • Buding relationships with the night team for improved reporting and control.
  • Liasing with the IT manager on system changes.
  • Reviewing and evaluating training activities, developing service enhancements, and monitoring changes in the financial environment.
  • Staying updated on hospitality industry trends and innovations.
  • Actively seeking opportunities to improve department profitability, emphasizing waste control and resource efficiency.
  • Maintaining effective communication within the department, and reporting any issues to the Accountant.
  • Attending required department training sessions and meetings.
  • Collaborating with other departments, ensuring good communication and offering support.
  • Supporting the company's operation during high-demand periods.

Experience & Skills:

  • A Diploma in Accounting or the equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Good command of Microsoft technologies (specifically Excel and Word)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent command of the English language both written and spoken
  • Analytical and attentive to detail
  • Conscientious and problem-solving
  • Excellent time management skills
