General Manager

Our client, a state-of-the-art elderly care home, is recruiting a General Manager to run the newly refurbished enterprise. As the GM you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the elderly care home.
  • Overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations, including staffing, resident care, facility maintenance, and financial management.
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and programs to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and promote the well-being and safety of residents.
  • Fostering a culture of compassion, respect, and dignity among staff, residents, and families, promoting a positive living experience for all.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance resident care and support services.
  • Managing budgets, financial resources, and resources effectively to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Ensuring effective communication and coordination among all departments to optimize resident care and satisfaction.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care and services provided, implementing improvements and enhancements as needed.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and promote continuous improvement.

Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Health Care, Business Management or the equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior management position within a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in elderly care.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and operations effectively.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centred approach to resident care.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, families, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
